We had a wonderful Easter celebrating with family :)
The new cousin clan :) We love all of them... Sophie, Olivia, Shelby, Lily, and Chloe. Its been a little bit of an adjustment for Camden to be (as he says it) "surrounded by girls". The girls have welcomed both kids with open arms and we are so thankful for that.
Bob and Deidra with all the kids!
I can't believe this little girl will be 2 in two and a half months! She is growing leaps and bounds and we couldn't be prouder of her. She's super independent (surprise, surprise) and loves to do whatever her brother or cousins are doing. The other day she melted my heart when I sneezed, she said "besh you".
This little ham is still making us laugh... most of the time. We've had some rough patches with his behavior and believe a lot of it is a transition phase, but really hoping and praying this phase passes quickly.
Camden would live outside if we let him. He's often just outside to be outside and I love that about him. His creativity seems to blossom the more he is out. His favorite things right now include chalking and riding his bike.
Camden also started soccer through the YMCA. We really wanted to get him involved in something and this was really it for now.... at least until fall when baseball starts up :) I was a little reluctant because the age group is 3-5, so Cam pretty much runs the show. He is having fun and that's what matters most to me. Ana never sits like this anymore. You can find her on the field trying to catch her brother.... can you blame her? Makes me think she's not going to be much of a cheerleader.
My little shopper :) We had a neighborhood garage sale and Ana decided she needed to bring her shopping cart and baby.
We found a great park right up the road from us with this gorgeous view!
Our pool has been under contraction for a week, so we've been having lots of fun with the hose and sprinkler. The neighbor came over and was baffled at how much fun my kids were having with the hose. My response "We are from Michigan and this was all we had back home" :)
As you can see, the kids are adjusting well and so are we. We feel extremely lucky and grateful to have family here to help us get acquainted with things and offer us fun things to do with them. We got to visit Bobby's marina where he keeps his boat and then enjoy the day swimming in the marina pool.
Camden seems a little more protective of Eliana since we've moved here. I always find him helping her and its truly amazing. The other morning it got too quiet, so I went to check on them and saw this. I head Camden say "Do you want pigtails today Ana?"
He didn't quite make it to the pigtails, but the end result consisted of a hair pretty and lots of spray bottle.
Ana would prefer to wear her rain boots even if its 80 and sunny... definitely a necessity when playing baseball!
Ana is really loving all the attention these girls give her. It's adorable to see her just eat it all up :) Olivia enjoyed reading a bedtime story to her before bed last week.
My little artist...
Just another Thursday in Florida :) We really enjoyed a mid-week day retreat with family. The kids played in the pool, sand, and enjoyed going down the watersides too.
Last Sunday we decided to hit the beach for the first time after church. We hadn't seen the ocean as a family and had such a wonderful day and were able to make timeless memories.
We ate at Frenchy's overlooking the ocean :)
Cam and Ana taking a selfie. Not sure if Ana has the hang of it quite yet :)
We surprised Camden and got him a boogy board and sand volleyball for the beach. He was one happy boy :)
I can't really describe the utter beauty of that day. I don't know if it was just being together as a family, seeing the smiles on our kids' faces, the perfect blue sky and water, warm sand between our toes, it was bliss... and we can't wait to do it again.
Eliana was slightly scared and this was about as far as she went in. Camden, on the other hand, once he figured out the boogy board, we couldn't get him out of the water!
Little girl is a good little beach baby... fell asleep right in Momma's arms :)
The kids and I loved Clearwater Beach so much, we took a trip to Honeymoon Island for the day. It's only about 15 minutes from our house. Note: These pics are not edited at all... absolutely breathtaking :)
The kids spent most of the time playing in the sand, as the water was really rocky.
To the right in the distance is Clearwater Beach.
On our walk Camden randomly said, "I wonder what our friends back in Michigan are doing?" I said I don't know, but we can write them a message in the sand. He looked at me like I had 3 heads. He thought it was so cool we could "write" in sand :)
Camden spent about 45 minutes digging this hole... he loves the beach :)

We rode with the windows down, sang songs really loud and had a great time just taking in the beauty.
Sitting in a little bit of traffic didn't seem to really matter because we were so excited!

We found some MONSTER seashells on our walk...
Again, Cam could tell that Ana was a little nervous about the water so he asked to hold her hand. So sweet.
I taught the kids that when you hold shells up to your ear, you can hear the ocean... so Ana walked around the rest of the time saying "hello" as if it was a telephone.
