Vacation and other fun stuff...

We decided to get away a little bit and enjoy some time in Frankenmuth at Zehnder's Splash Park.  Thanks to Gramma and Papa for this year's family vacation - so happy we could finally go!

We left on a Sunday morning and Camden thought it was "swimsuit day" at church.  In a way I felt a little bad for sort of lying to him especially about church, but it was worth the surprised look on his face when we told him we were really heading to a water park.

Waiting patiently while we check into our room...

This was Eliana's first vacation and she seemed to have a blast. We took turns hanging out with each kid... one of us would climb 7 flights of stairs to go down the big green water slide repeatedly with Camden while the other sat and relaxed in the kiddie area with Ana.

She loved these swings in the water!

Trying a pickle for the first time....

Mommy and Eliana enjoying the lazy river
Camden and Daddy went mini golfing and Cam got 2 hole in ones!

This little pumpkin was tired from all the time in the water.. she zonked out on me at the water park. I didn't mind, I was loving all the snuggle time :)

Not only was it Eliana's first vacation, it was also the first time she showed us her crawling skills! For the last couple months we thought she was so close to crawling and the she would just face plant or sit down.  The minute I put her down in the hotel room, she took off.  Here is the a video of her first strides: Crawling Video.
P.S. To all you germaphobes... I sanitized the hotel carpets before I let her down ;)

Vacation wouldn't be vacation without spending time in the arcade! As you can see, Daddy's having just as much fun as Camden.

Winning his little girl a prize...

She's already wrapped around his finger, "Daddy, I want another one!"

We had a great time and are very thankful for the time we were able to spend together as a family.

We also visited Bronner's - Christmas all year around!

A few mental notes for the next time we visit Bronner's....Don't tell your 4 year old that they can pick out something.  The store is HUGE and it will not only take him too long to find the perfect thing, but it will likely be something non Christmasy.  Camden walked around in a daze trying to find the "perfect toy".  After explaining that it was a Christmas store and we would like him to pick out something Chritmasy, he wondered off and came back with a glittered stuffed unicorn.  Kyle had to draw the line and we left.  It wasn't the most pleasant exit - hopefully next time will be better :)

Mom's take over Downtown! I think we had 5 moms and 10 kids hit the streets of Battle Creek a couple weeks ago.  We had a great time playing at the park, having a picnic, and checking out some sidewalk chalk art.
Potty stop at Subway!
I'm not exactly sure what Camden is doing in this picture... these boys are crazy.

Hi Pretty Girl! I can't believe you are 10 months (5/27)!

Library fun! We visited the library and got our picture taken with this crazy cat... Camden knew who he was from his silly stories at preschool. Eliana wasn't so sure.

I love this picture of Eliana and our little neighbor boy, Everett.  The looks on their faces are absolutely priceless and I just wish I could know what they were thinking.  Mr. Everett sure is the sweetest boy toward Eliana :)

Camden has given me some chuckles recently with his new sleeping "buddies".  These two polar bears in the picture below have been around since Camden was born and he still plays with them.

We were lucky enough to have Gramma Vegas (my Gramma who lives in Las Vegas) in town this week!  For those of you that don't know... my kids call her Gramma Vegas :)
Four generations!

Checking out the doggies!
Pure LOVE and JOY are the feelings I see in my Gramma's smile in this picture.  She couldn't have been prouder to have all her Great Grandbabies surrounding her :)
