December Happenings

Camden has been enjoying swim lessons lately! He is with 5 and 6 year olds and is hanging right there with them.  I was somewhat scared the first lesson because all of a sudden I hear the teacher tell the kids to grab a dumbbell float and kick across the pool.  Camden looked around like he had no idea what the teacher was talking about.  He watched as the other seasoned kids pushed off the side of the pool and swim across the pool. I thought for sure the teacher would have to help him... but nope, he jumped right in and followed suit. This is just one of the many instances I've witnessed his tenacious behavior of "if they can do it, so can I".

Daddy and Camden playing in the pool at Abi's birthday party!
Last Saturday we (along with hundreds of other volunteers) helped bring Christmas joy to over 600 families in the Battle Creek area. This was the first year Camden participated and he seemed to really have a good time.  He helped unpack toys for Santa to give to the kids of the sponsored families.  Our church is truly amazing to organize this every year and we are thankful we get the opportunity to volunteer.

Santa's elf for the day!  Camden with the "Big Guy"! (thanks Trish for taking such a cute picture:)

Here's my little Santa Baby at church on Sunday.  I walked into the nursery and all the ladies went crazy over how cute Eliana looked.  Miss Penny, who LOVES Eliana to pieces and snuggles her every Sunday, grabbed her camera and snapped this picture.  We are so blessed to have such a wonderful children's ministry at our church :)

Miss Penny also took this cute one...

Saturday night we ventured to Rockford for the Boehm family Christmas.  Eliana and Dominik had fun rolling around on the floor together.

Dominik was infatuated with Elle's bow!  Oh yea.. and Eliana had a cute Christmas outfit on, but it didn't last the car ride :(

Eliana and Aunt Kylie :)
This little girl has been such a trooper this past crazy busy week.  She's totally off schedule and I think it has caught up with her.  Poor baby has her first cold.  She's full of snot and sleeping like poo.  Despite the cold, she doesn't seem too cranky and has been extra snuggly.... so I can't complain.
So far Eliana has enjoyed rice cereal, oatmeal and carrots!
Sally has been a lot of fun this year and certainly been into a lot of mischief!

I always take pictures the night before Camden wakes up and this scene is exactly why....

This is how I found Sally 5 minutes after Camden woke up.  No, Cam didn't touch her. Miley helped herself to all of the marshmallows! Camden was so mad at Miley.... he then grabbed his Dr. kit so Sally could 'fix herself if she was hurt'.

Making copies... kinda creepy. Camden LOVED the picture Sally made of herself. Of course he slept with it that night.

I wish I would have known the night we decided to make green milk would be the night Camden and I had the stomach flu.... I totally would not have done it. I couldn't even stomach looking at it the next morning.
