It's the little things...

I know my little guy is growing up, but man... is he REALLY growing up. I've been so busy with Eliana lately that I've been reluctant to really stop and just watch him. I found myself rushing bedtime snuggles because I heard Ellie crying or trying to wash bottles while he's telling me a story.  The other day I had this urge to just pick him up and give him a huge hug. I scooped him up and about fell over. No joke. He's over 40 pounds, wearing size 5/6, and talks like a teenager (thankfully none of those naughty words yet).  But for a minute while he was in my arms it seemed like time stopped.  I think in that moment God was telling me to slow down and just take it all in.  Take it all in because I'm going to blink and they will be driving off to college.  Since then I've been trying really hard to let the dishes and laundry sit and just play, laugh, and appreciate the time I have with my kids while they're little and oh so silly. :)

After a haircut this week, we enjoyed popcorn and lemonade at Target.
Half of the popcorn ended up on the floor... but it was fun.
Yep... that's my Camden. I think he loves my iPhone camera more than I do. "Mom, look at me. Take my picture!" The other day I found him sitting on the floor looking closely at his legs. I asked him what he was doing. He looked up with big eyes and said, "Mom, I have hair on my legs! I'm a man now." LOL oh, buddy you will notice a lot more changes than little peach fuzz on your legs when you become a man.

Every Friday he has show and tell at preschool. This week they were studying the letter "E" and are encouraged to bring something that starts with that letter.  I suggested he take Eliana.  He looked at me in all seriousness and said, "Mom, I can't take Eliana, she won't fit in the show and tell basket." I just smirked and said ok.  He ended up taking his stuffed animal Clifford. I know, good "e" thing, right? owell :)

I can't wait to show this picture when Elle brings home her first boyfriend.  This is the beautiful face we  get to look at during dinner :) Makes us laugh.

That's more like it! There's my smile :) I LOVE LOVE LOVE how she is 'talking' now.  I feel like we have our best conversations on her changing table. She will just stare at me, smile, and talk.  Maybe she's laughing at me because we still can't seem to find a diaper that holds her explosive poops up her back.  Poop and all..she's a doll and we can't imagine life without her.

Love those big eyes!
Kyle and I celebrated our 5 years wedding anniversary today! Without getting too sappy, I'll just say I love him to pieces.  He's my best friend and the most amazing father to my children.

And here we are 5 years later on October 13, 2012 celebrating our anniversary in our PJs on the floor with our babes.  We just finished a game of Candyland, ate leftover pizza for dinner, danced to Party Rock, and waiting to cheer on the Tigers after the kids go to bed.  Life is good.
