Eliana turned 1 month old on the 27th. Wow, has this month passed quickly! She's a healthy baby weighing in at 11lbs 6oz (95%), 22 inches long (78%), and her head is 38.1 cm (71%). She's in 3 month clothes and on the brink of moving to size 2 diapers.... slow down little girl!
She wasn't having anything to do with pictures... this was the best one I could get. Little grumpy pants.
That's more like it... little drama queen.

Eliana has been such a blessing to our family. She is such a little snuggle bunny and loves to be held. She is sleeping pretty well giving us 3-4 hour stretches. Hopefully those continue to lengthen. She just started liking baths, but hates her car seat and is usually screaming about 5 minutes into any car ride. What's up with that? I thought all babies loved car rides.
She's still sleeping in the bassinet next to me, but I'm thinking within the next month we will move her into her crib where she has been napping during the day.
Eliana got to experience balloon chasing for the first time at only 4 weeks old. The World Balloon Championships were held in Battle Creek last week and this was a sight we will never forget. Very cool.
The Great Camdini is staying busy these days while I tend to little sister. He plays extremely well on his own, which I am very thankful for. Once Daddy is home it seems to be a different story - it's like he's been starving for attention all day :) One of his favorite "daddy" activities lately has been chalking on the sidewalk. He loves to trace us and be traced.
Camden starts preschool next Wednesday and is SO excited. We went to orientation last night and he woke up this morning asking if it was time to go to school. I'm just about as excited as he is.... I know he's ready for it :)
He continues to love on his little sister.... the other morning I got done feeding Eliana and told Cam that I was going to go do the dishes. As I went to put Ellie in her swing, he said, "Mom, you can just give her to me. I'll watch her while you do the dishes." It was too sweet. So I hand her to him and he waved his hand at me and said, "Mom, just go. I got her." Lol... so I acted like I was leaving, but of course watched carefully :)
Ok, so I've been reluctant to bring up Camden's new favorite toy.... but since this is after all his book of memories, I thought I should take the opportunity to embarrass him when he gets older. Camden loves his Barbie and he sleeps with her every night. The other night I went in to give him a kiss before I went to bed and this is what I see..... snuggling with his lady. Ha!
Barbie even made a trip to Rockford last weekend to stay with GG and Papa. I told Camden to pack his suitcase and Barbie was sticking out the side pocket. I laughed so hard to myself. Some of you are probably thinking we are crazy to let a boy play with a Barbie.... but honestly, at this age I think if we made a big deal about it, he would just want to play with her more.
Camden had a great time in Rockford and can't wait for another vacation with GG and Papa! He went to the Whitecaps baseball game and got to see fireworks. Thanks GG and Papa for taking him for the weekend and giving Mommy and Daddy a break.

Since everyone has been saying Ellie looks identical to Camden, I thought I'd take a look to see what he looked like on his 1 month birthday. He was SO much smaller than her! From what I can tell without too much digging, he was about 2 lbs lighter and 2 inches shorter. Sorry sister... I had to deal with being the tall girl through school... you can too ;)
Remember this picture just 2 short months ago?
Look familiar?! Yep, caught this little girl sucking her thumb this morning.
