God is Good

Our family knows and believes God is truly amazing.  Lately, little things throughout the week have reminded me of how blessed and great He really is.

Sunday evening at dinner Camden was talking about what he does before he goes to bed.  I thought he was going to proceed to tell us his nightly routine of bath, pretzels, milk, TV show, books, song, kiss, etc.  To my surprise, it went more like this: "Sometimes when I get scared and see shadows in my room at night, I ask God to protect me." I instantly thought back to several months ago when Camden moved back into his baseball room and was a little scared.  I remember praying with him and telling him that God will protect him.  It's amazing what God will help us remember. Kyle and I exchanged a very proud look and both reassured him that is the best thing to do when he is scared.

Another example of God working in Cam's life: On our way home from the Y center yesterday, Camden had a minor breakdown because we were not going anywhere after the Y.  He wasn't ready to go home, but we didn't have anywhere to go, so I said we were heading home.  Rather upset, he cried and screamed for about a minute.  After calming down, he explained that he was disappointed and asked 'if we could pray so God could help him make his day better'.  We said a prayer and sure enough, before we got home, that little boy was all smiles. (And so was Mama!)

This little miracle inside my belly decided to show me today what a soccer player it's gonna be! I've felt a little movement in the last weeks, but not this much... and it's awesome.  All day I kept putting Camden's hand on my belly and asking if he could feel it.  Although I knew he wouldn't be able to yet, he thought it was fun.  He is going to be an incredible big brother :)
