I'm sure all of you have heard the BIG news that Camden will have a little brother or sister in his life this summer! He is thrilled to say the least.....
We've been asking Camden if he thinks Mommy has a boy or girl in her belly and we have received some very interesting responses. At first, he kept saying it's a girl, then it changed to a boy.... and lately he has just given us silly responses, like a Peacock or naming the baby Arizona.
The other morning he climbed into bed with us around 6:30. After tossing and turning for a half hour he woke us up by asking, "Daddy, why does Mommy have two babies in her belly?" Maybe he knows something we don't know.... :)
As the weeks went on, Camden talked more and more about the 'baby in Mommy's belly'. He randomly comes up to me and kisses my tummy. When I started to show a little bit, he asked me if my belly was all done growing and the baby was coming soon. Oh sweetie... you just wait!
How is Momma doing?
How Far along: 13 Weeks. The baby is the size of a medium shrimp
Total weight gain: Surprisingly, 0. Don't worry.... this will change soon. In fact, this question may be coming off the blog soon ;)
Maternity clothes: I've been wearing some maternity shirts, but my maternity pants don't fit yet.
Sleep: I've been sleeping great! Weird dreams.... like the one last night where a spider was descending over my head as I slept. I swore this was for real, so I jumped out of bed, turned the light on and shook the covers. Kyle was not a happy camper.....
Best Moment this week: Telling everyone we are pregnant! We spilled the beans using this video.
AND hearing the our little peanut's heartbeat. It measured at 150.
Movement: I swear I feel flutters, but its probably just gas
Gender: Hmmm... I really don't have any inklings right now. We will find out mid March! I will be thrilled either way and just pray for a healthy baby.
Belly button: In
Cravings: Nothing particular so far. I've had more food aversions than cravings. Kyle has taken on grocery shopping because I'll get to the store and nothing sounds good to me. I've had one time when all I wanted was chocolate chip cookies. But then again, that was a craving before I was preggers :)
What I miss: WINE! And sharing a Margarita with my Mom
Stretch Marks: None with Cam, so I'm hoping the same thing this time around
What is different this time around: Time is flying by ~ My belly popped sooner ~ With Camden, I gained about 10 pounds in my first trimester ~ I've had a lot more nauseousness this time around ~ Emotional! I cried in the nail salon while watching Karate Kid.... I know, embarrassing. ~

The exciting news showed up on Sunday, November 27th. When we got home from church, I told Kyle I didn't feel well and I went to lay down. I slept for 3 hours.... not waking up until 5pm. I had this thought before coming out of the bedroom that I should take a pregnancy test. The rest is history.....
