This Christmas
sure was a blast! We made some new traditions and kept some old ones, but most of all.... we had a lot of laughs and once again reminded of all the blessings God has given us.
Christmas morning started out like any other.... Cam coming into our room at 5am to climb into bed with us. We were shocked when we didn't hear his little voice ask if we could go see what Santa brought. We ended up all waking up around 8am! Shockingly late for Christmas morning....
Camden ran right past the Christmas tree and straight for the plate of Santa's cookies. Of course Santa couldn't eat all 8 cookies that Camden left for him, so per Cam's request we let him have one of the left overs. There's no better way to start out Christmas morning than with a sugar buzz, right?!
Santa didn't forget Miley.... he shopped at Petco and found this ginormous candy cane bone. Yes, it's only 4 days after Christmas and this dog has it almost gone!
I have a lot of pictures like the one below.... Every time I told him to hold a present up for a picture, this is what I got :) At least there is a little boy on the back of this one that looks like Cam's facial expression.
Christmas evening we ventured to Mimi and Papa's house to celebrate. We enjoyed spending time together, watching the kids open presents, and ate a wonderful Prime Rib meal prepared by Chef Tyler....the kids enjoyed chicken nuggets :)
Camden finally got to open the only present he asked for this Christmas.... basketball shoes! Thank you Uncle Tyler :)
The entire Christmas season was wonderful; however, my favorite memory was made right here at this table. (Not to mention it looks amazingly beautiful ~ great job, Mimi!) The family was all sitting down ready to say our prayer and Camden spoke up and said, " Julian, I'll pray for you." So we let him take it over.... Folding his hands and bowing his head, he prayed in a confident voice, "Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for all the blessings you have given to us and for all the family here today. Please bless this food to our body. Happy Birthday Jesus."
Oh yeah... these boys have more to be excited about. Since their mommy's and daddy's got an iPad, they can now video chat whenever they want with the click of a button. They sure are growing up too fast!
Our Rockford Christmas visit was filled with lots of special family we don't get to see too often. Sure wish everyone lived closer....
Meet Pato, Cam's new best friend :) Pato (Jim) is Kyle's Uncle. He lives in Kansas City and is a Donald Duck impersonator (a.k.a Pediatrician) so he gets along really well with the kids.
CAM THE TOOL MAN!
Papa and GG surprised Camden with an awesome tool bench complete with his very own tool box. The best part about this tool bench is the white rectangular thing that Cam is hammering in the below picture. It's actually a piece of styrofoam and he is nailing golf tees.... genius!
Oh yea, not to mention that Papa is very talented.... he created this tool bench from a broken futon bed. Very cool!
We arrived to Rockford a day early and were able to take Camden around to look at Christmas lights. He loved it and is getting really good saying "ohhhh ahhhhh" or "ohhhh tacky" :)
The below pictures were taken at GG and Papa's friends house, The Harrington's. They have millions of lights and their house looks beautiful. Camden really enjoyed looking at all the Christmas decorations.
Thank you, Papa and GG & Family for a wonderful Christmas!

| Merry Christmas! |
Camden was a little bummed that Sally had to leave with Santa on Christmas Eve. Sally was a fun new Christmas tradition and just may have to make a mid-year appearance to check on Camden.

| The dessert table! Camden's favorite. It was perfect height for little fingers to reach up and grab what they wanted... I think Mimi did that on purpose :) |
VACATION! This boy is ready to hit the water parks at Great Wolf Lodge.... until then he will just have to enjoy pulling his new suitcase around the house :) Thank you, Mimi and Papa for a wonderful and exciting Christmas for the entire family. We are very blessed.
