Not going to lie...we were scared. Removing your child from his crib is definitely harder on the parent than the child. It's a huge wakeup call that your baby is really growing up. Camden loves his new "Woody" bed! And he is sleeping so much better. Ever since we moved into our new house, he struggled sleeping through the night. We weren’t really sure why... we thought it was because of the new surroundings. Then we figured that maybe it was time to change him to a twin size and that was it! His bed time has always been special for me - rocking, snuggling, and reading books. So of course, I was worried that I would lose that once he moved into a big boy bed... but nope, it's actually better. We read a couple books and then turn the light off and climb into bed. We typically snuggle in bed for a couple minutes - saying a prayer and talking about his day and what he thinks he's going to dream about. After our discussion tonight about baseball bats, birthday cake, and Goldie Locks, he gave me a big hug and said, "Night mom, I love you." It was so sweet.
As I was uploading the above picture, I remembered a previouis blog post where I posted the below picture. Almost two years ago... here is Cam reading to his beloved stuffed animals in his crib.
Uncle Lance was Camden's favorite person last weekend when he gave him this awesome baseball helmet. Yep... you're right, he wanted to sleep in it.
