Little Man

No, this isn't a recent picture... it was actually taken a year ago today. I have been so amazed lately with how much this little guy has grown up. I have to share the following conversations with you:
--------------
Driving to school last week one morning. Cam is enjoying a bowl of raisins...
Camden: Mommy, I say prayer.
Me: Ok, Cam. What do you want to pray about?
Camden: Dear Jesus, thank you for my raisins. Amen.
--------------
Driving home from school last week... Camden loves to watch the cars go by on the highway.
Me: Cam, can you count the cars?
Camden: One, Two, Three, Five, Four, Six (yes, in that order... but hey - I thought it was pretty good!)
Me: WOW! CAM! Good job!!!
Camden: Mommy, you count cars
Me: Counted to five
Camden: WOW! COOL MOM. GOOD JOB!!

Some other things that Cam has been up to....

* Major Daddy mode right now. Daddy has to get him up in the morning, take him to school, put him to bed. I now know how Kyle felt that first year and a half when he was a "Momma's Boy'.

* Favorite dinner time activity - no it's not eating. Its Daddy pretending to eat his eye balls and spit them up in the air. This kid cracks up!

* Julian and Cam get together and have a blast now. You can usually find them laughing at each other saying, "Shake ur booty, Shake ur booty".

* Loves to sing songs - ABC's, Rock a Bye Baby, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and Happy Birthday to You

* He thinks every day is his birthday. He doesn't want presents, just birthday cake. I think this stems from us having a birthday to celebrate almost every week after he turned two! If we don't have real birthday cake laying around, we make playdough cake and complete it with candles and singing. Always brings a huge smile to his face...

* He gets a kick out of going up and down hills while riding in the car. Even if it's a bunny hill, I'll look in the rearview mirror and see him with his hands up saying, "weeee"!!

* Cam must take after his Dad's artistic ability because this kid loves to color and draw. He recently went from making big random shapes to precise markings. He has even starting holding his crayon or marker like a little person. Working on those fine motor skills :)

We are so proud of our funny, smart, handsome Camden. He is truly a blessing from above.
